Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Make Ready Technician to join our apartment community team. The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance work to ensure units are move-in ready on schedule. This position will also assist with routine maintenance service requests to help maintain the overall condition and appearance of the property.
Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant apartment units for new residents.
- Complete painting, drywall repair, touch-ups, and patchwork.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs, including replacing faucets, toilets, and garbage disposals.
- Perform basic electrical repairs, including replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and smoke detectors.
- Install and repair doors, locks, blinds, and hardware.
- Repair flooring, baseboards, and other interior finishes as needed.
- Assist with appliance installation and repairs.
- Complete work orders as assigned by management.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, maintenance shops, and storage rooms.
- Report any major repair needs or safety concerns to management.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Minimum 2 years apartment maintenance experience required
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors when necessary
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service skills
