Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Prepare food items efficiently following safety and quality standards
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring food handling safety protocols are followed
- Assist with food preparation tasks including assembling orders and managing food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Support team members in food service operations, including serving customers and managing quick service demands
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation or food industry roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to handle food safely, practice sanitation standards, and follow health regulations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is advantageous but not mandatory
- Previous restaurant or café experience will help you hit the ground running in this fast-paced environment
