We are a well-established, cat-only veterinary hospital dedicated to providing the

We are seeking a compassionate, diligent, and highly reliable individual to join our
hospital as a part-time Kennel Assistant. This position is vital to our success, ensuring a
clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our feline patients, boarders, and the
entire hospital team.
Key Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and
patient comfort.
Feline Guest Services:
- Provide compassionate and attentive care for hospitalized and boarding
cats.
- Monitor patients for any signs of distress, changes in appetite, or
abnormal litter box habits and immediately report findings to a Veterinary
Technician or Doctor.
- Ensure all cats have clean bedding, fresh food, and clean water bowls at
all times.
- Provide basic comfort and enrichment (e.g., gentle petting, playtime,
ensuring quiet surroundings).
Sanitation & Maintenance (Core Duty):
- Perform thorough, detailed cleaning and sanitation of all cat kennels,
cages, isolation areas, and common areas using hospital-grade
disinfectants.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all hospital areas, including treatment rooms,
exam rooms, laundry, and the staff break room.
- Wash, dry, and fold hospital laundry (bedding, towels, etc.) throughout the
day.
- Properly clean and sterilize surgical instruments, food bowls, and litter
pans.
Support & Inventory:
- Restock hospital supplies (gloves, paper towels, cleaning products) and
assist with organizing inventory.
- Assist veterinary staff with gentle cat restraint when needed for minor
procedures (e.g., blood draw, nail trim, ultrasounds).
- Empty trash, mop floors, and assist with opening/closing procedures.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting
(e.g., shelter, kennel, grooming, or veterinary hospital) is preferred, but we will
train the right candidate.
- Feline Passion: A genuine love for cats and an understanding of feline body
language and behavior is non-negotiable.
-Work Ethic: Highly reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong attention to detail,
especially regarding sanitation and cleanliness protocols.
-Team Player: Able to take directions and work collaboratively with veterinarians,
technicians, and front desk staff.
-Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods,
and handle repetitive tasks such as bending and carrying.
