- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategy, product, technology, or a related field, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience working with C-level executives or cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
- 3 years of experience in the AI industry.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

- Orchestrate partnership strategy for AI partners internally across Business Development (BD), Product, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Drive cross-Google alignment to ensure fluid communication and successful landing of multi-faceted initiatives.
- Provide strategic input on new partnership opportunities, contract negotiations, market announcements, and executive decision-making. Drive consensus on partnership outcomes that balance value and risk.
- Develop compelling engagement strategies and briefings for Google’s executives (VP+), lead special projects that address cross-cutting issues and opportunities impacting the AI ecosystem globally.
- Manage escalations and recommend risk mitigation paths, consulting with BD, legal, competition, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment around executive communications and risk mitigation.
- Gather data from internal/external sources to become a recognized expert on specific companies in the AI industry to inform analyses on the potential impact to Google’s business or strategic approach.
