Handyman Position:
Maintaining the grounds of a private 4 acre estate located in Miami, Florida. This position will report directly to the maintenance manager and will be responsible for the overall upkeep of the property. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm.
Job Function:
Property maintenance “handyman” duties which will include hands on execution of every day issues that arise including painting, basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. You will perform general maintenance tasks, mechanical repairs and improvement projects for property, structures, vehicles and equipment etc. In addition, you will be required to ensure all work areas, equipment and vehicles are kept clean and in working order. Liaise with other parties for approved access as necessary. Perform other property/household related tasks as needed, including running errands, purchasing supplies, party set-up and clean-up, etc. You are expected to provide daily maintenance checks on all equipment inside and outside of the property. Hands-on repairs and improvements when applicable. Oversee cleaning the pool furniture and keeping the pool area clean at all times. Other routine tasks include ventilation, laundry, kitchen security cameras, cleanliness generator maintenance and operation as well as attic check and hurricane preparation.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a private home.
- Painting skills is a must.
- Able to work independently with good organizational skills.
- Background check and drug testing required.
- Ability to spray multiple types of paint, including two-part polyurethane.
- Experience with pressure cleaning surfaces prior to painting.
- Skilled in caulking and surface preparation.
- Ability to paint both interior and exterior residential areas.
- Experience stripping, sanding, and refinishing stained wood doors, windows, and furniture.
Physical Demands The physical demands below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and has to speak and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
