Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets in our facility. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals, ensuring their well-being, and assisting with various tasks related to their health and comfort. . We have multiple shift's available, we are open 7 days a week and shift are 7-10am and/or 3:30-6:30pm. Our schedule is flexible but candidates must be able to work at-least 1 weekend shift per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, turning our and exercising dogs and o
- Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ needs and behaviors.
- Handle animals safely and humanely, ensuring their comfort and security at all times.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills in animal handling and care.
Requirements
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members.
- Experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and handling animals of various sizes.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
