Job Title: Accounts Payable Lead in Construction – Vista Viewpoint Preferred
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Lead with preferred experience in Vista by Viewpoint and a strong background in the construction industry to join our finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting project operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and job-related expenses.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in a construction or contracting environment, with a solid understanding of job costing, subcontractor invoicing, compliance requirements, and project-based accounting processes.

- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (extended hours as needed)

Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume invoices in Vista (Viewpoint), ensuring accuracy and proper job cost coding
- Perform 3-way matching (purchase orders, receipts, and invoices) for construction-related purchases
- Review subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy, contract compliance, and required documentation
- Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate AP records and documentation within the ERP system
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors and suppliers to resolve invoice and cost issues
- Assist with subcontractor compliance tracking and payment holds
- Process ACH payments in ERP system
- Assist with weekly check run processing
- Supervision of Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure accurate processing and prompt approval of invoice
- Ensure compliance with construction accounting standards, contracts, and company procedures
Qualifications
- Required: Hands-on experience with Vista by Viewpoint (ERP system)
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction, contracting, or project-based environments
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting and project-based financial tracking
- Experience processing subcontractor invoices and vendor payments
- High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines tied to project timelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in the construction or subcontracting industry
- Preferred experience with Vista Viewpoint
- Knowledge of job cost structures, cost codes, and budget tracking
- Familiarity with lien waivers, certified payroll, subcontractor compliance, and insurance requirements
- Experience working with project managers and field teams to support financial operations
- Understanding of retention, progress billing, and pay applications

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
