Position Summary
At Belden House & Mews, the Restaurant Manager is responsible to support the Senior F&B Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the food & beverage outlets, ensuring an exceptional luxury dining experience for every guest. This role helps lead the restaurant team with a focus on outstanding service, operational excellence, financial performance, and adherence to the hotel's brand standards. The Restaurant Manager works closely with Food & Beverage leadership, and other hotel departments to create memorable guest experiences while maximizing profitability and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
Deliver exceptional, personalized guest service consistent with luxury hospitality standards.
Ensure every guest receives prompt, professional, and attentive service.
Resolve guest concerns quickly and effectively, turning service recovery into positive guest experiences.
Maintain an elegant dining atmosphere that reflects the hotel's luxury brand.
Operations Management
Manage all day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes.
The restaurant manager supports restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation at all times.
Coordinate reservations, seating, and service flow to maximize guest satisfaction.
Any other duties as directed by ownership/senior leadership.
Team Leadership
Help recruit, train, coach, and mentor restaurant team members.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
As necessary, prepare staff schedules based on business levels while managing labor costs.
Lead daily pre-shift meetings to communicate service expectations and operational updates.
Financial Management
This position plays a role in achieving revenue, profitability, and cost-control objectives.
Monitor daily sales, labor costs, and operating expenses.
Control inventory, reduce waste, and manage beverage and operating supplies.
Food & Beverage Quality
Monitor service timing and guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Ensure beverage standards, wine service, and menu knowledge meet luxury hospitality expectations.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with all food health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Maintain responsible alcohol service standards.
Promote a safe working environment for employees and guests.
Collaboration
Work closely with other departments to coordinate special events and VIP experiences.
Support hotel initiatives, promotional activities, and seasonal programming.
