Weekly Hours Required: 10-16 hours per week
Schedule Required: Tuesday 9-5 at Pinellas Park location & Thursday 9-5 at North Tampa location
Essential Functions:
- The APRN or CNM will be proficient in performing Well Woman exams to include head-to-toe physical exam, breast exam, and pelvic exam with cervical sample and bimanual exam.
- Review patient health history, sexual history, and review of systems.
- Interpret lab (blood, urine, STI, and PAP) results and prescribe appropriate prescription treatment and/or referring patients to appropriate outside clinic for follow-up evaluation and/or treatment.
- Anticipatory guidance for patients including nutrition, physical activity, sexual health, drug and alcohol use, personal safety, psychological well-being, and general health maintenance, including immunizations and biannual dental exams.
- Work alongside the clinic team, yet autonomous as a solo provider.
- Frequent communication with the Director of Medical Services and the Medical Director regarding patient concerns and initiating and updating policies or guidelines.
- Actively participates in monthly medical meetings, AWPMC meetings, quarterly trainings, as well as NLS Staff meetings, when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion from an accredited MSN Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult, Women's Health) or other advanced practice nursing program. Current non-restricted
- certification from AANP or ANCC and current non-restricted license with the Florida Board of Nursing. Remain fully licensed during employment without restrictions.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Effective communicator with computer literacy, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive patient information.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Five years of nursing experience with OBGYN nursing experience preferred.
- Demonstrates competent knowledge of the care for obstetrical and gynecological patients and women’s health issues and stays up to date on current women’s health concerns.
- Knowledgeable regarding ACOG cervical cancer screening guidelines, along with breast cancer screening guidelines.
- Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy.
- Be a mature Christian who demonstrates a consistent walk with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Driving to and from various locations is required.
