Responsibilities
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability.
- Support behavioral management strategies to encourage positive behaviors and address challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist children during meal times to foster healthy eating habits.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning common areas, bedrooms, and activity spaces.
- Drive children safely to appointments, school, or community outings while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Document daily progress notes, incident reports, and care activities accurately to ensure seamless communication among team members.
- Use EMR systems effectively for documentation and care planning purposes.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s), memory care, or senior care is preferred.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift operation or medication administration training are advantageous.
- Experience with long-term care or personal care home settings demonstrates your ability to handle complex needs compassionately.
- Ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while maintaining respect for each individual’s dignity.
- Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for transportation duties are preferred.

Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour
