Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts for infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and health monitoring
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, milestones, and daily activities
- Ensure classroom safety through proper supervision, hygiene practices, and adherence to licensing regulations
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while supporting individual needs of children with diverse abilities or disabilities
- Collaborate with team members to create inclusive activities that support special education needs and promote a sense of community within the classroom
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience managing classroom behavior and implementing behavior management strategies effectively
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are advantageous
- Familiarity with infant care routines, toddler care techniques, and classroom management tools is essential
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members in a childcare setting
