Summary of Responsibility:
Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, the Fabrication Technician will perform tasks related to the production of sheet metal components and weldments. This individual is also responsible for finishing operations to facilitate the completion of said components. Also, verify that components are free from defects or inconsistencies upon completion and are packaged appropriately prior to release to production.
This position provides an opportunity in a high growth business in manufacturing. We are looking for a motivated individual with the ability to successfully operate in a team setting.
What You Will Contribute:
Review and follow production work orders and any associated paperwork, ie. Schematics, work instructions, production orders.
Operation of fabrication area equipment:
o CNC Press brake – job programming, tool setup and operation
o CNC Plasma table – job programming, material handling, machine maintenance
o Manual Mill & Lathe – work holding, turning and milling operations
o Material cutting equipment- operation of cold saws, band saws, and handheld plasma
o Determine appropriate processes and process parameters
o Steam cleaning equipment, powder coating equipment, electric ovens
Promote safe work habits and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Follow Safety guidelines, expressed or otherwise informed.
Able to lift <50lbs as an individual
Follow proper testing and safety procedures
Proper use of hand and powered tools daily: angle/die grinders, drills, sanding/polishing equipment
Other Functions:
Pay Range: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Qualifications & Competencies:
Understanding proper use of hand and power tools.
Basic welding and fabrication knowledge.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 years continued education, trades, or related experience preferred.
Ability to understand blueprints and schematics.
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical manufacturing environment.
Understanding of Quality, and Health and Safety Standards.
Highly mobile
