Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in person
- Explain treatment options clearly, answer patient questions, and assist with financial arrangements and insurance processing
- Schedule appointments efficiently using patient management software and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and follow up on reimbursements to ensure smooth billing processes
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with health regulation policies and HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with dental team members to coordinate treatment plans and ensure timely patient care delivery
- Manage administrative tasks such as typing reports, updating patient information, and supporting medical office operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office environment with strong knowledge of healthcare procedures and policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with patient management software or Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person
- Knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and maintaining compliance with health regulation standards
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and treatment planning
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities
- Prior dental office experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
