Full Job Description
Goose & Rev Academy is seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Center Supervisor to join our leadership team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children while also leading and supporting teachers to create a high-quality learning environment.
The Center Supervisor assists with the daily operations of the center, ensures compliance with Washington State licensing regulations, supports teachers through coaching and mentorship, and builds positive relationships with children and families.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the center.
- Support and coach teaching staff to maintain high-quality classrooms.
- Ensure compliance with all DCYF licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers.
- Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Assist with tours, enrollment, and family communication.
- Maintain accurate licensing and staff documentation.
- Help train and onboard new employees.
- Step into classrooms as needed to support ratios and daily operations.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare or early learning setting.
- Previous management, leadership, or supervisory experience.
- Meets or is eligible to meet Washington State DCYF Program Supervisor qualifications, including:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) State Certificate or approved equivalent (or qualifying ECE college credits as allowed by DCYF).
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in a licensed early learning program.
- Ability to pass a DCYF background check.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before employment).
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Brightwheel.
- Knowledge of Washington State licensing requirements.
