Now Hiring: Construction Estimator
FirstLine Construction Corp. is growing and we're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Estimator to join our team.
This position will prepare estimates across all three of our divisions:
- General Construction
- Roofing
- Restoration (Water, Fire, Mold & Insurance Repairs)
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate residential and commercial estimates.
- Perform site inspections and field measurements as needed.
- Review plans, specifications, engineering documents, and scopes of work.
- Develop detailed material takeoffs and labor calculations.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and change orders.
- Work closely with project managers, production, and business development teams.
- Assist with insurance claim estimating using Xactimate when applicable.
- Maintain estimating templates, pricing databases, and production costs.
Qualifications
- Estimating experience in construction, roofing, restoration, or a related trade preferred.
- Ability to read architectural and structural plans.
- Experience preparing material takeoffs and labor estimates.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods.
- Experience with Xactimate is a plus.
- Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, JobNimbus, or similar estimating software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and grow across all three divisions.
