Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and offering product recommendations.
- Operate the POS system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods with integrity.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled.
- Assist with inventory management by receiving shipments, stocking shelves efficiently, and conducting regular stock counts.
- Support customers with phone inquiries by practicing professional phone etiquette and providing helpful information.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and assist in supervising new or less experienced staff when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems or cashiering is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in retail or similar environments.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette for engaging customer interactions.
- Ability to perform retail math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations accurately.
- Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments is advantageous.
- Capable of standing for extended periods while maintaining a positive attitude throughout your shift.
