FULL TIME TELLER
Job Summary
The Teller is the front-line representative for WBVFCU, responsible for delivering high-quality member service while accurately processing a variety of financial transactions. This role supports branch operations by handling daily cash flow, balancing the teller drawer, and promoting credit union products. The Teller also plays a critical role in fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and maintaining the security of cash and sensitive member information.
Key Responsibilities
- Member Transactions & Service
- Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Issue negotiable items such as money orders and cashier’s checks
- Provide members with account information, including balances, transaction history, and account inquiries.
- Cash Management & Balancing
- Maintain and balance the cash drawer throughout the shift; reconcile cash, checks, and other negotiables
- Prepare daily teller reports and document any overages or shortages.
- Assist night-drop processes, as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Understand and comply with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA / AML, CTR, Reg CC).
- Identify and report suspicious activity per credit union policies and escalate as necessary.
- Follow security protocols, including robbery procedures, cash protection, and confidentiality standards.
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain teller station: stock forms, brochures, supplies, and ensure a clean, professional environment.
- Process incoming mail
- Participate in training (e.g., regulatory, product, systems) to maintain and expand job knowledge.
- Provide support on other branch tasks or cover other tellers / roles when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in cash handling and customer service
- Proficient in Microsoft Window Environment
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass background and credit checks (as required by WBVFCU).
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to [e.g., 20–25 pounds].
- Work is primarily in a branch environment (lobby, drive-thru, teller line).
- Must be able to handle fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure situations (busy branch hours).
- Saturdays are scheduled

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
