Join our dynamic team as a Log Truck Driver and take charge of transporting logs and forestry products across diverse routes with precision and safety. In this energetic role, you will operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and skillful handling of hazardous materials will be vital to maintaining our high standards. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a log truck to haul timber from logging sites to mills and other designated locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck, trailer, tires, brakes, lights, and equipment.
- Ensure logs are properly loaded, balanced, and securely chained/strapped before transport.
- Follow all DOT regulations, weight limits, and company safety procedures.
- Safely navigate logging roads, job sites, highways, and rural roads in varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, load tickets, mileage, and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate with dispatch, logging crews, loaders, and mill personnel regarding loads and delivery schedules.
- Monitor truck for mechanical problems and report needed repairs or maintenance promptly.
- Keep truck and equipment reasonably clean and in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a valid Class A CDL and required DOT medical certification.
- Practice safe driving at all times and represent the company professionally with customers, mills, and the public.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Follow assigned schedules and be available for early mornings and extended hours as needed.

● Valid Class A CDL required.
● Must have a clean or acceptable driving record.
● Must meet all DOT requirements and maintain a current DOT medical card.
● Previous log truck, dump truck, or heavy-haul driving experience preferred.
● Experience driving a manual transmission preferred.
● Knowledge of proper load securement, weight limits, and DOT safety regulations.
● Must be comfortable driving on logging roads, uneven terrain, rural roads, and highways.
● Ability to complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
● Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-minded.
● Ability to work early mornings and extended hours when needed.
● Must be able to communicate effectively with dispatchers, loaders, mills, and other crew members.
● Must be able to pass all required drug/alcohol testing and employment screenings.
● Must be able to safely perform the physical duties associated with securing and inspecting loads.
