We are a custom metal fabrication shop in West Chester, PA, working in steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. We have an opening for a CAD Drafter to create 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor/SolidWorks drawings. Projects are primarily sheet metal designs that are forwarded to us for laser cutting. Applicant will need to understand the fundamentals of sheet metal layout and design, account for bend and thickness allowances, and ultimately create flat pattern layouts for our laser. Applicant must be self motivated and a team player.
Applicant will also support the sales staff with estimating jobs, assisting in project management, and purchasing.
CAD Drafter Responsibilities and Duties may include:
- Be proficient in 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor/SolidWorks
- Understand the fundamentals of sheet metal layout and design, and create flat patterns for laser cutting
CAD Drafter Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years experience in AutoCAD 2D and AutoDesk Inventor/SolidWorks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Driver's license and able to meet insurance underwriting requirements (preferred)
- Applicant must be capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
