Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Construction Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be actively involved in various phases of construction projects, assisting with site preparation, material handling, and building tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Perform manual handling and heavy lifting of materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate power tools and basic machinery following safety regulations and manufacturer instructions
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations, including implementation of OSHA safety standards and proper use of respiratory protection gear
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, or structures safely to access work areas at various heights
- Support the installation of structural components by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials as directed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of debris, securing tools, and ensuring safety hazards are promptly addressed
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related manual labor roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and construction plans is advantageous
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving manual handling, heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with power tools enhances your ability to contribute effectively on-site
