Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and refrigeration equipment in residential properties
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing HVAC systems to optimize performance and efficiency
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately install equipment
- Conduct system diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, valves, and electrical wiring
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines where necessary
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports for each job performed
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a strong mechanical background
- HVAC install experience preferred
- Knowledge of construction practices related to residential building systems
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, appliance repair, boiler operation, welding, and property maintenance
- Experience working with field service operations in residential settings
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment confidently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
