We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations or questions
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of guest seating and service
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand, lobby, and waiting areas to uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Assist with basic food preparation, beverage service, or dishwashing as needed during busy periods
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guest relations are positive at all times
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and clearly
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic math for order management and cash handling
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus
- Experience in food service, catering, or banquet environments enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure
- Basic culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required
