Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. In this role, you will operate different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Your expertise in driving and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, end dumps, belly dumps, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking manual transmission systems, brakes, lights, tires, and other critical components.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices during route driving and delivery operations.
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of trucks to ensure optimal performance throughout your shifts.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight transportation; prior delivery driver experience is highly valued.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles with confidence and precision.
- Familiarity with driving different types of trucks such as End Dumps and Belly Dump Trailers
- Knowledge of load securing techniques for various freight types to prevent damage during transit.
- Ability to handle route driving efficiently while adhering to schedules and safety regulations.
