2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM | $18.00/hour
Job Overview
Our client is currently hiring multiple Warehouse Picker/Packers for a temporary warehouse project in Hicksville, NY. This role is ideal for dependable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in accurate order fulfillment.
As a Warehouse Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment while helping maintain an organized, safe, and productive warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick tickets, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and quality before packing.
- Pack merchandise securely to ensure safe delivery.
- Label and prepare shipments according to carrier requirements.
- Replenish stock in picking locations as needed.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory.
- Perform quality control checks to maintain order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment (forklift experience is a plus).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
