Job Description:
Oxford Middle School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Math Teacher to join our academic team for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering student growth within a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities: (list not all inclusive)

Teach middle school math courses in alignment with district curriculum and Connecticut standards

Create a structured and engaging classroom environment that encourages mathematical reasoning, problem solving, and analytical thinking

Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student achievement and school initiatives.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom expectations.

Complete all required administrative duties, including grading and reporting on student performance.

Think flexibly and adapt to the specific instructional needs of students

Collect data to measure impact on instruction and student achievement

Work in an inclusionary/co-teaching model
Qualifications:

Valid Connecticut Math (029, 229) certification.

Experience teaching at the middle school level, preferred.

Strong, effective communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment. Proactive team player.

Dedication to providing a positive and meaningful learning experience for students.
