Summary:
The candidate will be providing Basic Life Support care to the sick and injured during special events in which the organization has been requested. This position is designed to help alleviate some of the demand for the system to cover special events. Special events include, but not limited to, concerts, conferences, sporting events, elected official visits, etc.
- The candidate is expected to perform duties in accordance with the scope of practice defined by their certification as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH). This will include providing first-aid and patient care to the sick or injured. They will determine the need for transport or further evaluation and communicate with the Communication Center and Field Supervisors to arrange for appropriate transport to a treatment facility if deemed necessary.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
The employee must have completed an approved course of study and be currently certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and have demonstrated competency in all required skills. The employee must possess a valid and acceptable PA EMS Certification BLS-CPR Card as well as EMSVO. The employee must be able to get or already have medical command authorization.
