Landscape Technician - Assistant Crew Leader – Landscape Construction & Installation
We are hiring an Assistant Crew Leader to help oversee landscape construction and installation projects throughout the Nashville area.
We are not a mowing company. We specialize in landscape installations, drainage solutions, irrigation, grading, sod, planting, hardscapes, retaining walls, and outdoor improvements for high-end residential properties.
This position is ideal for someone who has landscape experience and is ready to take the next step into leadership. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Assist the Crew Leader with daily project execution
- Lead crew members when the Crew Leader is unavailable
- Read and follow project scopes, plans, and instructions
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and jobsite organization
- Operate skid steers, mini skid steers, compactors, saws, and other equipment
- Install plants, sod, drainage systems, irrigation systems, pavers, retaining walls, and other landscape features
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Communicate progress, issues, and material needs throughout the day
- Take jobsite photos and document completed work
- Help maintain trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment
Requirements
- 1+ years of landscape construction, hardscape, irrigation, or related experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field
- Willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role
Preferred Experience
- Drainage installation
- Irrigation installation and repairs
- Planting and landscape installation
- Grading and excavation
- Paver patios and walkways
- Retaining walls
- Skid steer or mini skid operation
- Trailer backing and equipment transport
Compensation
- $23–$28 per hour depending on experience
