The Program Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software programs involving multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. The role ensures alignment with business strategy, manages cross‑project dependencies, drives governance and delivers measurable outcomes across the software lifecycle.
Job Description: Program Strategy & Road mapping • Define program vision, objectives, KPIs, and success criteria. • Align program direction with product, engineering, architecture, and business teams. Cross Project Coordination • Coordinate multiple related software projects under a unified program. • Identify and manage dependencies, sequencing, and integration points. • Ensure consistent delivery across distributed teams. Governance & Execution Management • Establish governance models, stage gates, and decision making structures. • Maintain program documentation, dashboards, and status reporting. Stakeholder & Communication Leadership • Engage with engineering, product, QA, security, DevOps, and business stakeholders. • Communicate risks, issues, and progress clearly and proactively. • Facilitate alignment across cross functional teams. Risk, Issue & Change Management • Identify systemic risks across projects and build mitigation plans. • Manage escalations and unblock teams. • Drive change management for new processes, tools, or platforms. Budget & Resource Management • Own program level budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation. • Optimize team capacity and vendor utilization. • Track ROI and ensure financial discipline.
Minimum Requirements: Technical Understanding • Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud, APIs, integration, DevOps, and architecture concepts. • Ability to partner with engineering and architects to understand technical constraints. Leadership & Influence • Ability to lead without direct authority. • Skilled at negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management. Analytical & Organizational Skills • Expertise in dependency mapping, risk analysis, and program planning. • Strong documentation, reporting, and prioritization skills. Communication Skills • Clear, structured communication with executives and technical teams. Experience • 7–15 years in program/project management, product delivery, or technical leadership. • Experience managing multi team or multi project software initiatives. • Certifications (optional): PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master.
