About Blende
Blende is a boutique custom-blending beauty studio specializing in vegan, cruelty-free makeup and skincare. Located in downtown Westfield, NJ, we create personalized foundations, lipsticks, glosses, skincare formulas and more tailored to each client.
Blende is an experience-driven beauty concept focused on artistry, customization, and client relationships. This is not a traditional makeup counter role. This is more than a job. .. this position could evolve into the potential to earn equity and participate in ownership as the company grows.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and responsible Studio Manager who can confidently run the studio when ownership is not present.
This role combines:
- Custom blending artistry (Like fun chemistry)
- Makeup applications and lessons
- Soft, consultative retail selling
- Inventory and scheduling management
- Daily operational leadership
You will be both an artist and an operator.
Paid training will be provided to master Blende’s custom-blending systems, service protocols, and sales approach.
Core Responsibilities
Artistry & Services
Custom-blend foundation, lipstick, gloss, skincare and more
- Perform makeup applications and lessons
- Host and assist with private parties and events
- Create personalized at-home regimens for clients
Sales & Client Experience
Deliver a polished, high-touch customer experience
- Educate clients using a soft, consultative selling approach
- Drive retail sales and rebooking
- Build long-term client relationships
Studio Management
Open and close studio as key holder
- Manage scheduling and daily service flow
- Oversee inventory and prevent stock shortages
- Operate Meevo POS system
- Maintain immaculate sanitation and presentation standards
- Assist with social media content creation
Qualifications
Strong makeup artistry skills
- Solid understanding of color theory
- Confident but refined sales ability
- Highly organized and dependable
- Comfortable working independently
- Prior boutique, salon, or retail beauty experience preferred
- Portfolio and references required
