Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and structured learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in various areas including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a supportive community.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their child's development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan events, activities, and curriculum enhancements.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or education settings such as daycare or preschool is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures is a plus; certification is preferred.
- DCF 45+ hours are required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- A background in babysitting or related childcare experiences are required.
