Job Summary:
The Residential Service Coordinator I (RSC I) is responsible for the day-to-day management
and program compliance for Developmental Disabilities Ministries, Inc. (DDM) services (CRA, CLS, and other
DDM services). This role includes providing direct care to enhance person-centered services, covering shifts
due to vacancies and call-outs. Generally, the RSC I works 30 hours a week in a Direct care and 10 hours of administrative tasks and is classified as a full-time employee.
DDM is a Christian Ministry, and it is our purpose to provide residents with the highest quality of care and
services in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Conduct and ensure direct care staff are properly trained and in compliance with training standards.
- Ensure training tracking system is used by direct reports and provide training and oversight as
needed.
- Serve as the hiring manager for all staff in the home.
- Responsible for performance reviews, progressive discipline, and management of staffing; work
directly with the Program Manager and HR to address staffing issues.
- Work directly with the Program Manager and Human Resources to recruit and appropriately staff
homes.
- Audit shift notes for all homes of responsibility to ensure quality and billable services.
- Develop and manage the personnel budget.
o Develop schedules.
o Ensure hours worked match scheduled hours.
o Monitor overtime and take appropriate actions to mitigate OT expenses.
- Communicate frequently with home staff; conduct staff meetings.
- Utilize and manage direct reports’ HR information in Paycom.
- Conduct weekly and daily compliance checks.
Direct Care Responsibilities:
- Cover shifts for vacancies, doctor’s appointments, and enhance person-centered services and access
rule requirements.
- Complete time-sensitive documentation if not completed by staff.
- Scheduled for 30 hours of direct care per week.
- Work with Tarrytown and pharmacies to update MARs with new medications.
- Upload or ensure all doctor’s appointments, documentation, and follow-ups are in Therap and
documented. Complete Resident Summaries.
- Complete monthly ISP Tracking Programs or ensure ISP goals are being worked on and
documentation is completed based on ISP.
- Manage grocery shopping/home supplies/office supplies ordering and expenses (Clicklist).
Home/Vehicle Management/Oversight:
- Conduct monthly home and vehicle checks.
- Complete vehicle maintenance (oil changes, repairs, tires, etc.).
- Obtain quotes, follow up, and ensure the home remains safe and in good repair.
- Ensure mileage, emergency drills, and other facilities documentation is completed.
- Create cleaning schedules for the home.
Program/Core Team Member Oversight:
- Communicate with family members, day programs, support coordination, HFDR, and other
stakeholders regarding current services and compliance. Report any issues or concerns to the
Program Manager.
- Complete or ensure annual documentation (consents, releases, day-to-day living agreements) is
uploaded and accurate in Therap.
- Oversee healthy menus.
- Audit residents' funds and petty cash.
- Participate in pre-ISP person-centered planning, development of ISP goals, and actively participate in
the implementation of ISP.
- Maintain confidentiality of Core Team Members at all times.
- Attend required educational/professional development meetings.
- Audit documentation of Core Team Members' behaviors, medical conditions, and training progress on an ongoing basis and communicate needs to the Program Manager and Nurse.
- Complete the Annual Health Risk Screening Tool and update as needed with medication changes,
new or additional diagnoses, and changes of condition. Inform the Nurse when HRST is a level 3 or
above.
- Ensure all GERs/incidents are reported immediately. Work directly with the Program Manager to
ensure all DBHDD reportable incident reports are submitted accurately and timely.
- Implement DDM Policy/Procedure Manual as directed.
- Attend all meetings such as ISP and SIS for Core Team Members as needed.
- Participate in the evaluation and admission process of all new Core Team Members referred to the
home.
- Ensure documentation required by DDM and state agencies is present, accurate, and meets quality
standards.
- Resolve any Support Coordination citations.
