Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Public Area Attendant to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall appeal of our public spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a pristine environment in all accessible areas, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces, and respond to guest room requests.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to keep surfaces spotless and safe.
- Maintain cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, windows, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
- Monitor the condition of public spaces regularly, identifying maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly.
- Follow established procedures and safety protocols to ensure a hygienic environment at all times.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, utilizing specialized equipment for deep cleaning projects.
- Support housekeeping management by reporting supply needs and assisting with special cleaning projects or event setups.
- Completed additional duties as assigned by management.
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and industrial cleaning equipment enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Experience working in hospitality environments demonstrates your ability to deliver excellent guest service standards.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation regulations is essential.
- Previous custodial or housekeeping management experience is a plus but not required; a strong work ethic and attention to detail are key.
Work Environment and Context
● Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
● Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Pay: $24.00 per hour
