Job Overview
. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, cookware, and kitchen tools, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation and service.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Handle manual tasks such as loading and unloading dishwashers, stacking clean items, and organizing kitchen supplies efficiently.
- Follow strict food safety management protocols to ensure all items are sanitized correctly and stored properly.
- Support food handling and preparation by ensuring all utensils and equipment are hygienic for use in cooking or serving.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, floors, and work surfaces through regular cleaning routines
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper dishwashing techniques.
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments with a focus on food service or catering is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large pots, boxes of supplies, or cleaning equipment.
- Strong manual handling skills with attention to detail in cleaning and organization tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary staff and maintaining cleanliness standards.
