TJD Sports Academy partners with recreation departments, schools, parks, and community organizations throughout New Jersey and New York to provide high-quality youth sports programs. Our mission is to help young athletes build confidence, stay active, and develop a lifelong love of sports in a fun, positive environment.
We are currently seeking a part time Volleyball Coachwho is passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their communities.
TJD Sports Academy Volleyball programs help athletes develop fundamental volleyball skills through clinics, camps, and training programs designed for beginners through intermediate players.
About the Role:
As a Volleyball Coach, you'll lead engaging programs for players of different ages and skill levels. You'll teach fundamental skills like serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defense while using drills, games, and match play to help players build confidence and improve.
Coaches should be comfortable adapting instruction to different skill levels and creating a positive, supportive environment. Travel to different program locations throughout New Jersey and New York may be required based on assignments.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead by example through positive communication, professionalism, and actions that motivate and inspire young volleyball players.
- Teach and develop fundamental volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defense.
- Create an engaging, supportive, and encouraging environment for players of different ages and skill levels.
- Build strong relationships with players and parents through clear and professional communication.
- Understand and support each player’s individual goals and development needs.
- Monitor and evaluate player progress, providing personalized feedback and guidance to encourage continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all players.

- Strong Communication Skills - You enjoy working with children and can communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches while creating a positive learning environment.
- Teaching & Coaching Ability-You're comfortable teaching a variety of sports and can adapt your coaching style to different age groups and skill levels.
- Physical Fitness-You're active, energetic, and comfortable demonstrating skills, participating in drills, and leading fun, high-energy sessions.

- Willing to travel to different program locations.
Job Type : Part-time / Seasonal (with potential for growth based on performance and availability)
Hours: 10–20 hours per week

Schedule:

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of coaching, teaching, or instructional experience preferred
- Must provide professional references
- Background check required
- CPR/AED certification preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
