CONFIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY
Lead With Purpose. Transform Lives Every Day.
Executive Director — Memory Care & Senior Living Community
Location Shared Upon Mutual Interest
The Opportunity
This is not just a management role — it is a calling. A respected senior living organization is conducting a confidential search for a mission-driven Executive Director to lead a licensed Memory Care community. You will hold responsibility for everything: culture, care quality, operations, team performance, and community growth.
If you are the kind of leader who walks the halls, knows residents by name, rallies your team on the hard days, and still finds time to think strategically about the future — we want to hear from you.
Why This Role Stands Out
Real Impact: Your leadership directly shapes the daily lives of memory care residents and their families.
Supportive Organization: Join a team that believes in investing in its people, its culture, and its communities.
Growth Potential: A track record of developing leaders internally and rewarding strong performance.
Purpose-Built Community: A well-maintained, purpose-driven environment designed around resident dignity and wellbeing.
What You Will Own
Resident and Family Experience
· Be the face of the community — visible, approachable, and trusted by residents and families alike.
· Lead an interdisciplinary care team to deliver personalized, high-quality memory care.
· Resolve family concerns with empathy and urgency, fostering lasting trust.
Operations and Compliance
· Maintain survey-ready standards at all times — documentation, records, and Plans of Correction.
· Oversee facility integrity inside and out: maintenance, landscaping, and capital improvements.
· Investigate and report incidents in full compliance with state regulations.
Team Leadership and Culture
· Hire, develop, and retain top talent; build a team that shows up proud every day.
· Champion ongoing education and professional development across all departments.
· Lead and participate in the Manager on Duty rotation.
Business and Community Growth
· Partner with marketing to drive occupancy through tours, networking, and community visibility.
· Own budget performance — from development to daily oversight of financial health.
· Think strategically to position the community for long-term success.
Who You Are
You bring a blend of heart and business savvy — and you have done this before. Here is what we are looking for:
· A proven leader in senior living, assisted living, memory care, or a related healthcare environment.
· Someone with supervisory or management role, with relevant experience per state qualifications.
· An operator who is as comfortable reviewing a budget report as walking the memory care floor.
· A relationship-builder with residents, families, staff, and the broader community.
· Calm under pressure, decisive when it counts, and genuinely passionate about aging services.
· Must be 21 or older with a valid driver's license; flexible schedule availability including some evenings and weekends.
Education: A high school diploma with significant relevant experience, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or a state-approved Assisted Living Administrator credential are all welcomed pathways into this role.
What Great Looks Like in This Role
Leads with Integrity: Acts with honesty and upholds organizational values in every decision.
Inspires Loyalty: Creates an environment where people feel valued, respected, and motivated to stay.
Thinks Strategically: Sees the big picture and aligns day-to-day operations with long-term goals.
Acts Decisively: Makes sound, timely decisions even in complex or ambiguous situations.
Manages Costs Wisely: Operates within budget; identifies efficiencies without sacrificing quality.
Embraces Change: Builds team commitment and guides staff confidently through transitions.
Delegates with Trust: Assigns work thoughtfully; sets clear expectations and follows through.
Communicates Clearly: Keeps all stakeholders informed with transparency and professionalism.
Never Stops Learning: Actively pursues growth — for themselves and every member of the team.
Physical Requirements
· Regularly required to stand and walk; occasional sitting.
· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
· Moderate noise environment typical of a residential care setting.
· Local travel required; occasional out-of-town travel expected.
