Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Food Service Associate to join our team. This position primarily involves preparing the service area, stocking and displaying prepackaged food items, operating the cash register, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
This role involves minimal food preparation and is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with people, staying organized, and helping keep daily operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Set out and organize prepackaged food and beverage items
- Perform light food preparation and basic kitchen support tasks
- Operate the cash register and process customer purchases
- Provide friendly customer service
- Restock food, beverages, condiments, and supplies throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, counters, and dining spaces
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when replenishment is needed
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Previous experience in food service, cafeteria, restaurant, retail, convenience store, or customer service environments
- Cash handling or cashier experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Required:
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to stand for extended periods
