American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience and the ability to perform modified video swallow studies for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment.

Acute care hospital setting in an inpatient Speech Therapy unit
-
Primarily treats adults in inpatient acute care, with additional caseload including premature infants in the NICU for feeding needs
-
Caseload of approximately 9–10 patients per day
-
Must be proficient in performing modified video swallow studies

Cerner EMR is used in this position

8-hour day shifts starting at 8am, one weekend per month required

13-week contract

Minimum 2 years of SLP experience required

Active state SLP license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted (license required if applicable)

Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted

COVID vaccination required

Crisis Protocol certification required

Proficiency in performing modified video swallow studies

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Treats a mixed population of adult inpatient acute care patients and premature infants in the NICU with feeding needs

Burgundy polo shirt and dark pants are the required dress code

Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

Candidates residing in AZ must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates, as determined by driver's license address
