We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selections.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring proper merchandising of products.
- Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries via phone or directing calls appropriately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience with merchandising and stocking is a plus, along with knowledge of product placement strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated to achieve individual sales goals.
