Groundskeeper
Austin Zoo is currently looking for an individual with abundant energy to become a member of our Facilities team as a groundskeeper. Love working outside? This is the perfect position for you! The candidate must be an individual who is meticulous and focuses on attention to detail. Self-motivation and dependability are crucial. The ability to follow instruction is imperative while work independently.
Groundskeeper responsibilities:

Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting restrooms throughout the day.

Mowing, raking and weeding specific areas in the Zoo.

Collecting trash throughout the Zoo and transporting to appropriate dumpsters.

Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.

Must be able to walk or stand for an extended period of time.

Must be willing to work outside in any kind of weather.

The responsibilities of this position involve bending, crouching and kneeling. These are essential for a successful work experience.
Terms of Employment:

This is a full time position.

Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

Candidate must be able to work Wednesday – Sunday.
