The Town of Plainville is looking for five energetic, hardworking individuals to join our Buildings & Grounds team for the 2026 summer season. If you enjoy working outdoors and want to play a vital role in keeping our town beautiful, we want to hear from you!

Position Details
Total Openings: 5 Positions-
Anticipated Start Date: May 26, 2026

Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)

Status: Seasonal / Open until filled

Rate of Pay: $16.94 per hour
Key Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Laborer, you will assist in a variety of tasks to maintain our public spaces, including:
Landscaping: General upkeep including weed whacking, hedge trimming, and tree pruning.-
Facility Maintenance: Trash and recycling collection/removal and cleaning of public restrooms.

Athletic Fields: Basic maintenance to ensure our fields are ready for local sports and recreation.

Team Support: Performing all other duties as assigned to support the department's goals.
Qualifications

Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.

A positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining the high standards of the Town of Plainville.

Reliability and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Ability to lift over 50lbs.
