Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and basic self-care skills.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and functional skills through engaging teaching techniques.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to adapt strategies for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders and disabilities.
- Engage in ongoing training related to behavioral health, ethical standards, and medical terminology to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of special education, behavior management, and ABA therapy protocols is essential.
- Strong skills in data collection, medical documentation, and client communication are required.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving their personalized care plans.
- Familiarity with medical records management and understanding of HIPAA compliance standards.
- Experience working in home-based settings or school environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
