Overview: We are seeking a trained individual to perform Medical Assistant duties. Previous EPIC training/experience is a priority.
Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (6:50am-3:20pm) with a 30-minute lunch. Occasional Wednesdays from 7am-11am.
- The 2nd & last Tuesday of the month are late days. 7am-6pm. (Once trained, MA’s can switch off to make this only an 8-hour day)

Daily Tasks:
- Checking Rx voicemail three times a day (upon arrival, before lunch, and before departure)
- Answering Patient Questions and refilling Rx patients have requested before end of business (This is our number one Priority)
- Call patients to inform them of results
- Rx and procedure prior authorizations
- Rooming patients in a timely manner
- Administer Injections
- Running tests needed such as A1C, PFT, urine samples, ABI, DM foot exam etc, as well as covering everything in Health maintenance that is overdue or needs to be discussed
- Assisting Dr. Sawka and/or two Nurse Practitioners with any patient care requests (helping with procedures, observing pap etc.)
- Handling all nurses’ visits which include testosterone injections, B12 injections, ABIs etc
- Ensure all specimens that have been collected during the day have a scheduled pick up before leaving. (There is a drop box at the back door of the building)
- Stock exam rooms
- Refill the fridge with injections/ keep inventory
- Able to Rotate to the front desk to answer phones or schedule appts during slower times
