Position Summary
The Physical Therapy Technician / Office Assistant supports our therapists, patients, and administrative team to ensure efficient clinic operations. This role combines direct patient support, front-office responsibilities, and clinic maintenance duties. We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and professional individual who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Patient Care Support
Assist licensed physical therapists with patient treatment activities that have been delegated and appropriately trained.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient sessions.
Monitor patients during exercises and assist with treatment setup and cleanup.
Organize and maintain therapy equipment and treatment supplies.
Maintain adequate linen and clinic supply inventory.
Front Office Duties
Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
Manage voicemail messages and return patient calls.
Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
Perform data entry, scanning, faxing, and other administrative tasks.
Contact patients regarding missed appointments and schedule follow-up visits.
Clinic Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
Monitor supply levels and notify supervisors when reordering is needed.
Report equipment maintenance and repair needs.
Assist with general clinic operations and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current CPR certification preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional and friendly demeanor with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer proficiency required.
Previous healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience is a plus.
