Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing real estate contracts, deeds, title documents, and closing statements
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case development
- Prepare and organize documents for closings, including title reports, escrow instructions, and settlement statements
- Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, lenders, and government agencies to facilitate property transactions
- Support estate planning activities related to real estate assets and assist with land use and zoning compliance issues
- Review legal documents for procedural accuracy, proofreading for errors, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws such as UCC law and tribal regulations
- Conduct research on environmental law topics impacting property development projects
- Assist attorneys with litigation support in general & commercial litigation cases involving real estate disputes
- Maintain meticulous records of all correspondence, filings, and case updates while ensuring confidentiality
Experience
- Proven paralegal experience supporting real estate transactions or related legal fields
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, landlord-tenant law, family law as it relates to property matters, securities law applicable to real estate investments, and tribal law & regulations
- Familiarity with legal administrative experience including document review, data entry, filing procedures, and case management systems like iManage or PCLaw
- Experience conducting legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis; ability to synthesize findings clearly and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading for accuracy and clarity
- Strong interviewing skills for gathering information from clients or witnesses as needed
- Knowledge of project management principles to coordinate complex transactions effectively
- Familiarity with various areas of law including environmental law, patent law (if applicable), workers' compensation law (if relevant), personal injury law (related to property accidents), contracts, procedural law knowledge, litigation procedures, and document management systems
