About the Role
As an Equipment Sales Professional, you'll help customers find the right equipment to meet their needs while developing long-term relationships built on trust and exceptional service. You'll represent some of the most recognized equipment brands in the industry and become a trusted advisor to homeowners, farmers, landscapers, contractors, municipalities, and commercial customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated salesperson who enjoys working independently, meeting new people, and delivering solutions that make a difference for customers.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Sell new and used equipment while identifying solutions that best fit each customer's needs.
- Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement.
- Conduct equipment demonstrations and explain product features and benefits.
- Prepare quotes, sales proposals, and financing options.
- Follow up with customers throughout the sales process and after delivery to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate customer records using dealership systems.
- Stay current on product knowledge, competitive offerings, and industry trends.
- Attend training sessions, sales meetings, and manufacturer programs.
- Work closely with the Parts and Service departments to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Represent Middletown Tractor Sales professionally at customer events, trade shows, and community functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Previous sales experience preferred, especially in agricultural, construction, turf, automotive, heavy equipment, powersports, or outdoor power equipment.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Goal-oriented with a passion for helping customers succeed.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dealership software.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or industry experience is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate demonstration equipment.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and community events as needed.
