Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, with expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units and related HVAC systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with HVAC equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot problems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to assess system performance.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations, including piping and drainage solutions.
- Execute refrigeration tasks, including the handling of ammonia refrigeration systems when necessary.
- Provide field service support, responding promptly to service calls for repairs or maintenance.
- Collaborate with other technicians on complex installations or repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each job.
- Engage in continuous learning about new technologies and techniques in HVAC/R.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles and property maintenance practices.
- Experience in construction or appliance repair is a plus.
