LIFEGUARD II (SEASONAL) – SONOMA MENDOCINO COAST DISTRICT / NORTHERN / RUSSIAN GULCH STATE PARK

The reporting location for this position is Russian Gulch State Park in Mendocino County. This position will work under the general supervision of the State Park Peace Officer (SPPO) Supervisor.
The Lifeguard II will work as a lead position for other seasonal lifeguard employees reporting to Russian Gulch State Park in Mendocino County. The Lifeguard II will work as part of a self-directed team with other lifeguards and state personnel to provide aquatic safety for the public. The Lifeguard II must be able to get along with others and work within a self-directed team of highly motivated professionals by providing leadership, teamwork, and professionalism.
This position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. This position is designated as not telework eligible.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
