- Experienced Technicians: Starting at $40.00–$45.00/hour
- Paid biweekly on Saturdays
No previous fiber optic experience is required for entry-level candidates. Training is available for dependable individuals who are willing to learn.

All shifts are 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.

Position Overview
Fiber Optic Technicians are responsible for maintaining, repairing, testing, and troubleshooting outside plant fiber optic networks.
Primary duties include:
- Fusion splicing fiber optic cable
- Troubleshooting outages and damaged fiber
- Performing OTDR and optical power testing
- Installing and repairing aerial and underground fiber
- Working with NAPs, terminals, splitters, cabinets, and fiber enclosures
- Reading work orders, fiber maps, and network diagrams
- Documenting completed repairs and testing results
- Following company and industry safety standards
Required Equipment
Technicians must have or obtain:
- Truck, SUV, or van capable of supporting a ladder rack
- Fusion splicer
- VeEX optical power meter
- OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer)
- 28-foot extension ladder
Applicants must be comfortable working outdoors, using ladders, working independently, and working in changing weather conditions.
New to Fiber?
No experience is required.
Candidates who do not currently own the required equipment should expect approximately a $1,200 initial investment.
We provide guidance on purchasing the required equipment to help you get properly equipped without overspending or buying unnecessary tools.
