ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our residential remodeling and repair team. This role requires exceptional carpentry skills along with the ability to lead projects, mentor team members, coordinate subcontractors, assist with estimating and material takeoffs, and ensure projects are completed on time and to our quality standards. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable performing finish carpentry, solving field challenges, communicating with homeowners, and helping guide projects from start to finish.
REQUIREMENTS
- Able to demonstrate experience in home improvement in several of the following areas: framing carpentry, siding, painting, drywall, bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, cabinets, floor installation and repair, basic plumbing and electrical, ceiling fans, light fixtures. Not all skills are required, but the more the better!
- Willingness to take direction and learn from constructive criticism with a positive attitude, as well as a desire to learn new skills
- Ability to communicate with the owner and customer as often as required
- Demonstrate an understanding of how managing costs affects profitability, but not at the risk of customer satisfaction
- Able to assist with estimating job costs
- Have a minimum of two professional references
- Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Valid driver's license, dependable vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Must own basic and some advanced level carpentry tools
- Must have a cell phone, access to read and print email, access to use or print and Google maps or another digital map service
- Must be capable of uploading and sending photos via email or text with a cell phone or digital camera
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
