Fabuwood is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fine Woodworking & Cabinetry Specialist to join our Custom Shop team. This position is responsible for building and assembling fully custom cabinetry using shop tools, technical drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and producing high-quality finished products.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Custom Cabinetry & Woodworking
- Build and assemble fully custom cabinetry according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, fit, and assemble wood components with a high level of accuracy.
- Perform detailed finish carpentry and fine woodworking on custom pieces.
- Ensure proper fit, alignment, and overall appearance of completed cabinetry.
- Make necessary adjustments or modifications to components during the assembly process.
Quality & Production
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and craftsmanship standards.
- Identify and correct workmanship or assembly issues before products move to the next stage of production.
- Safely and properly operate woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Collaborate with other Custom Shop team members to complete projects accurately and on schedule.
- Handle custom materials and finished components carefully to prevent damage.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fine woodworking, finish carpentry, cabinetmaking, millwork, or a related field preferred.
- Experience building or assembling custom cabinetry is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, materials, and construction techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and craftsmanship.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and assemble components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make adjustments as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing and Custom Shop environment.
